Sunday Funday! ‍♀️ ‍♂️ ‍♀️ ‍♂️

Looking to get some sunshine and exercise?

This activity is a must-do experience.  Really.  Other than running a 5K or bikeathon when will your whole family be able to casually ride on the wide-open highway?

ActiveTO is a pilot project set up by the city of Toronto during COVID-19 pandemic to ease the congestion on the martin goodman trail and various other areas around the city.

This is the third weekend they have closed the eastbound lanes of Lakeshore Blvd W to allow bikes and pedestrians to take over.  It has worked. Serious and casual bikers alike have moved off the small congested trail and onto the wide-open road allowing pedestrians to use the smaller boardwalk and trail more effectively.

Nothing is more freeing than the wind in your hair, sunshine on your back, lake views and the smooth glide of a bike!

Here is how to get there: You can access the area from the south end of, Dowling, Jameson, Parkside Drive, Colbourne Lodge, Windermere or the pedestrian bridge at the bottom of Roncevalles.

Have fun and let us know if you enjoyed it as much as we have!
