Possibly the hippest neighbourhood in the city, Parkdale has some of the most unique patios to hit up this summer.  Without further ado, here are our favourite Parkdale Patios!

Gianna’s Patties and Pies

Gianna’s Patties and Pies is in the former Tennessee Tavern spot right on Queen West.  They still have the amazing back patio full of hanging plants, vines and plenty of seating including booths.  With so many delicious options on their menu, we don’t know where to begin with our recommendations.  Don’t miss the Detroit style pan pizza and do not sleep on that garlic bread!  This spot is an absolute must on any Parkdale patio crawl.

Gianna’s Patties and Pies  is at 1554 Queen St. West

The Rhino

One of the largest patios in the west end, there is always a spot for you at the Rhino.  Featuring a massive beer list of bottles and cans as well as 25 craft beers on tap, the Rhino is always a good choice. A Parkdale staple since 1992, the Rhino is one of those places that if you haven’t been, then you haven’t truly experienced Parkdale.  Situated right in the middle of Queen St. West, this open air patio is the ideal spot for people watching, and there is no shortage of people to watch in Parkdale.

The Rhino is at 1249 Queen St.  West

Tibet Kitchen

We would be remiss if we did not include Tibet Kitchen in this list.  Featuring an open air patio with a few big trees and plenty of space for you and your friends, Tibet Kitchen is an absolute must try.  We recommend the chicken Lhasa Momo and something cool to drink.

Tibet Kitchen can be found at 1544 Queen St. West

Escape Goat

Escape Goat wins the award for cutest name on this list and possibly cutest patio. Surprisingly private, this back patio has a clear awning to let the light in but also keep you dry from the rain.  Try one of their award winning burgers paired with a craft beer, of which they have many on weekly rotating taps.

Escape Goat is located at 1510 Queen St. West

Food and Liquor

Food and Liquor is a small little spot with an even smaller patio in the back.  The menu here features dumplings, chicken balls and cheese fried rice as well as a reasonably priced beer and wine list.  This little spot is popular with locals and fills up quick!  If you’re doing a patio crawl, make sure to include this little gem in your travels.

Food and Liquor is at 1610 Queen St. West
