Our Favourite Patios in Bloor West Village
Share This Post:

There’s something about the first patio season weekend that makes Bloor West Village feel like its best self. Tree-lined sidewalks fill with the clink of glasses and the smell of espresso drifting from café doors propped open for the season. Thanks to the CaféTO initiative, so many of our favourite spots along Bloor Street now spill right out onto the street, turning a simple coffee run into a full-on neighbourhood moment.

It’s one of the many reasons people fall in love with living in Bloor West Village. This is a community built for walking, lingering, and running into your neighbours mid-errand. Wide, walkable streets, mature tree canopies, and a genuinely tight-knit village feel make it one of Toronto’s most sought-after West End neighbourhoods for buyers who want charm and community alongside their morning coffee.

So as we officially kick off patio season, we’ve rounded up our favourite spots to grab a table and soak it all in. Check out this list of our favourite patios in Bloor West Village.

Shakey’s

Opened originally by Mike “Shakey” Walton, a player on the Maple Leafs when they won the cup in 1967, Shakey’s is a Bloor West Village staple.  Located on Bloor at Beresford, the Shakey’s patio is a standout among the CaféTO patios on this strip and is not to be missed.  Featuring an extensive menu using all local ingredients, there is also a kid’s menu and plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions and intolerances.

Gatto Wood Oven Pizza

Toronto, ON M6S 1P2Visit Website

Authentic pizza and pasta destination in Bloor West Village.  Gatto, which means cat in Italian, opened its doors in 2018 and is one of our go-to spots for wood oven pizza.  With a northern Italian inspired menu, Chef Enrico Dal Sasso has poured his love for food, authentic and locally sourced ingredients into Gatto’s delicious offerings. Grab a spot on their stellar CaféTO patio and order up a burrata and prosciutto appetizer, followed by the Asiago pizza, paired with a nice glass of red.  Sit back, relax and pretend you’re at a bustling cafe on the streets of northern Italy.
