Kathy Essery
Co-founder, Managing Partner & Sales Representative
Born and raised in Poland, I immigrated to Canada at age 10. I’m fluent in Polish and English, a skill that helps me communicate effectively with a wider group of clients. As a young adult my creative impulses took me into the world of photography, but after further schooling I realized my real calling was in the world of business and marketing. I’m an entrepreneur at heart, and it’s the combination of this drive and my highly-creative way of thinking that allows me to empower my clients and elevate each one’s market position.
After moving to Australia as an adult where I lived for five years, I started out my real estate career selling luxury waterfront properties—and, yes, the views are just as beautiful as they sound. I’ve been around real estate my entire life, though. My family background in construction has always given me such a deep knowledge of—and interest in—the realm of real estate. It’s only natural that I pass that passion on to my clients.
Combining my global and local real estate expertise with my knowledge of Toronto neighbourhoods, I help my clients get more from their experiences, whether selling or buying property. When people work with me, they know they’re getting an approach that works—and one that will get them better results. I’ve set records in communities across the west end, and I especially love hearing clients say that I was “a true partner in the process”, or that they found me to be a “great listener who never once made us feel pressured.”
My west nest
I’ve been around the world, but the west end has always felt like home. I lived in High Park for close to 20 years, and after moving away I came back to live in the place where my heart is. Recently, my family and I moved from one house in Bloor West Village to another—we love the neighbourhood, and we wanted this to be the place we really put down some roots.
The west end is where you can find top-rated schools, communities brimming with character, and a laid-back, down-home vibe filled with people who are supportive, inclusive, and actively building a better community! I also love the outdoorsy vibe you get from the west end; whether it’s a summertime run along the Humber River with my husband, skating on Grenadier Pond in High Park during the winter with my kids, or heading out on an adventure with the whole family to explore the neighbourhood. There’s never a dull moment!
