Our Favourite Patios in Bloor West Village

This weekend marks the beginning of summer, and with that comes the official start to patio season! The CaféTO initiative has enabled many of our favourite places to have a patio right on the street, and we couldn’t be more excited. Check out this list of our favourite patios in Bloor West Village.
Shakey’s
2255 Bloor Street West | 416-767-0608 |
Toronto, ON M6S 1N8 | Visit Website |
Opened originally by Mike “Shakey” Walton, a player on the Maple Leafs when they won the cup in 1967, Shakey’s is a Bloor West Village staple. Located on Bloor at Beresford, the Shakey’s patio is a standout among the CaféTO patios on this strip and is not to be missed. Featuring an extensive menu using all local ingredients, there is also a kid’s menu and plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions and intolerances.
Gatto Wood Oven Pizza
2312 Bloor West | 416-762-9682 |
Toronto, ON M6S 1P2 | Visit Website |
Authentic pizza and pasta destination in Bloor West Village. Gatto, which means cat in Italian, opened its doors in 2018 and is one of our go-to spots for wood oven pizza. With a northern Italian inspired menu, Chef Enrico Dal Sasso has poured his love for food, authentic and locally sourced ingredients into Gatto’s delicious offerings. Grab a spot on their stellar CaféTO patio and order up a burrata and prosciutto appetizer, followed by the Asiago pizza, paired with a nice glass of red. Sit back, relax and pretend you’re at a bustling cafe on the streets of northern Italy.
Baka Gallery Café
2256 Bloor St. West | 416-766-2252 |
Toronto, ON M6S 1N6 | Visit Website |
We love Baka! With a menu inspired by grandmothers around the world (‘Baka’ is Croatian for grandmother), this quaint little cafe is dedicated to serving a wide variety of gourmet comfort food dishes. Baka has a fairly large patio, excellently situated for people watching. With a menu developed by Executive Chef Peter Budisa that focuses on quality local ingredients, you can look to Baka for one of the most delectable brunch experiences in BWV.
A Dark Horse
2401 Bloor West | 416-769-4696 |
Toronto, ON M6S 1P7 | Visit Website |
The ultimate sports bar in Bloor West Village. With satellite tv showing all the big games, this is the place to be for the World Cup qualifying matches and the Euro Cup this summer. Throw on your team colours and head to this Bloor West patio to show your support. A Dark Horse offers a menu chock full of classic pub fare with some lighter options as well. Order a pint of one of the 18 beers on tap, a basket of the award winning chicken wings, and you’ve got yourself a perfect patio afternoon.
Patio is first come, first served!
Swan and Firkin
2205 Bloor Street West | 416-767-9222 |
Toronto, ON M6S 1N5 | Visit Website |
A classic Firkin pub, the Swan has everything you’d expect from this franchise, including a phenomenal rooftop patio! A menu featuring classic British pub fare is what’s on offer here, featuring everybody’s favourite brunch item, The English Fry Up! Pair this with one of their interesting brunch cocktails, and you have a Sunday afternoon well-spent!
